Reinaldo Machado
Principal R&D Engineer at Versum Chemicals (Merck Group), formerly at Air Products and Chemicals
Reinaldo Machado earned his doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was a university lecturer at Lehigh University, teaching students about the scale-up processes of chemical processes. He is also the president of RM2 Technologies LLC, a company that teaches the practical aspects of mixing technology. This company works closely with the Engineers Without Borders (EWB) organization.
Reinaldo Machado is also employed at Versum Chemicals (part of the Merck Group as of 2019). He is responsible for technology implementations in the broader chemical industry within the company - scale-up, reactor engineering, mass and heat transfer, reaction calorimetry, plastics recycling, and much more.
Reinaldo Machado is the author of 19 patents and 17 scientific publications and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Chemical Society.
