Seminar series: Profesor Andrzej Stankiewicz

“The Greening of the Big Bad Wolf: New Paths and New Challenges of Chemical Engineering”

This webinar series tries to identify the current and the future role and opportunities for chemical engineering and chemical engineers in the fast-changing world of the 21st century, that faces grand societal challenges related to environment, human health or availability of food and clean water.

In the opening seminar “The Greening of the Big Bad Wolf”  Professor Andrzej Stankiewicz (TU Delft and WUT) will focus on some global trends presently observed in the chemical sector, that include, among other things, decarbonization, electrification, digitalization, modularization or manufacturing of new, advanced materials, and will discuss the role of modern chemical engineering in each of those trends.

In the subsequent webinars, executive managers from different types of international chemical industries will share their views on the present and future roles of chemical engineers within their companies.
